File menu in MS Word
In
this blog we discuss about file menu and its option’s.
What is file menu?
The file menu is one you will find yourself using extensively. It is used to create new documents, open existing documents and saving your new/updated documents.
Press Alt+F to open the File
menu. Key Tips are displayed over the File menu page
options. On your keyboard, press the key that matches the
letter in the Key Tip of the page to select and open the page.
Options of file menu, work and its short keys:

New - Opens a new document.
If you use the keyboard combination indicated on the right a blank document
opens immediately. Selecting the New menu item with your cursor gives the
opportunity to open a large number of types of documents. Ctrl + N create a new blank document. |

Open - Opens a previously
saved document. Ctrl + O open the menu to
open a saved document. |

Close - Closes the active
document but does not quit the application. |

Save - Saves the active
document with its current file name, location and format. Ctrl + S Save the current document or open the
Save As menu is the file has not previously been saved. |

Save As - Saves by opening a
window which gives the opportunity to change the file name, location or
format. F12 Open the Save As menu. |

Page Setup - Sets margins, paper
size, orientation and other layout options. |

Prints Preview - Shows how the file
will look when you print it. Ctrl + P Open
the Print (Print Preview) menu for the current document. |

Print - Prints the active
file, also gives the opportunity to change print options |
·
Quit - Closes Microsoft
Word. Alt + F4 Close Ms word. |
